December 12, 1852.
A.P. Kiselyov was born to a poor petty tourageois family.

1865 ã.
He entered Oryol Boys’ Gymnasium. While studying gave lessons to 6 children for boarding.

1871 ã.
The top student of Oryol Boys’ Gymnasium entered St. Petersburg University, physical and mathematical department. He was fortunate to have D.U. Mendeleyev , P.L. Chebyshev ,
I.A. Somov , A.N. Korkin , U.V. Sokhovtskiy , E.I. Zolotaryov, F.F. Petrushevskiy as lecturers.

1876 ã.
He graduated from St. Petersburg University before the due term receiving the Degree of Candidate for his research paper in the field of Higher Mathematics.

1876 ã.
The graduate from the University of St. Petersburg was appointed teacher of Mathematics, Mechanics and Technical Drawing of Voronezh Technical High School.

1884 ã.
The textbook “Systematic Course of Arithmetics for Secondary Schools” was published.

1888 ã.
The textbook “Elementary Algebra” in two parts was published.

1891 ã.
A.P. Kiselyov was moved to Kharkov Technical High School to teach Mathematics and Physics.

1892 ã.
He came back to Voronezh to teach Physics and Mathematics to cadets of Voronezh Mikhailovskiy Cadet School.

1892 ã.
The textbook “Elementary Geometry” was published.

1901 ã.
A.P. Kiselyov retired, stopped teaching and devoted himself to writing textbooks and resource books.

1918 - 1921 ãã.
A.P. Kiselyov taught Mathematics at several Schools of Red Commanders in Voronezh.

1921 - 1924 ãã.
A.P. Kiselyov taught Mathematics at Military Pedagogical School in Leningrad.

1925 - 1926 ãã.
A.P. Kiselyov was the director of Smolny Military Courses in Leningrad, taught at School of Military Communications.

1933 ã.
A.P. Kiselyov was awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.

1937 - 1938 ãã.
The textbooks in Arithmetics, Algebra, Geometry were approved as main textbooks for Soviet secondary schools, their main advantages being simplicity and scientific exactness of narration.

November 8, 1940
A.P. Kiselyov died and was buried near D.U. Mendeleyev.

2001 ã.
Voronezh Education Complex ¹2 was named after A.P. Kiselyov.

2002 ã.
One of the streets in Oryol was named after A.P. Kiselyov. Near one of the buildings of Oryol State University, where the former Oryol Boys’ Gymnasium was situated, the bust of the famous teacher of Math was erected
